Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
1 cup Sabut Urad Dal
1 tbsp Desi Ghee
5 cup Water
1 cup Readymade Tomato Puree
0.25 cup Nutmeg Powder
2 tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp Tandoori Masala
2 tsp Dal Makhani Masala
2 tbsp Kasoori Methi
2 tbsp Butter
.5 cup Milk
.5 cup Sabut Urad Dal
1 Cream
6 cloves Garlic
2 Dried Red Chillies (Soaked in warm water for 10 minutes)
According to taste Salt

1. Soak the Dal in warm water with a pinch of salt and baking soda for 3 hours.

Blend together drained red chillies, ginger and garlic with very little water

Drain the Dal and wash thoroughly. Pressure cook dal with 5 cups water, ghee and ginger garlic chilli paste. After one whistle keep on low flame for another 30 minutes, stirring occassionally, then turn off the gas

Once the pressure drops, open the cooker and add the tomato puree, kasoori methi, nutmeg powder, garam masala, tandoori masala and dal makhani masala and butter. Add Salt according to taste

Simmer on low flame for another 30 minutes. Keep stirring occassionally. Take off flame and keep aside to cool

At time of serving, add the milk and cream and mix well. Heat on low flame till the dal boils over. Serve hot
