150 gms Ghee
150 gms Sugar
150 gms Khoya (grated)
2 tsp cardamom powder
0.5 cup water
6 strands of cardamom
2 tsp chopped almonds

    Grind the soaked moong dal to a rough paste using very little water

    Strain all the excess water from moong dal

    Heat Ghee.  Add the ground moong dal and roast till light brown.  Once brown, add the khoya and cook for 1-2 minutes.  Turn off the gas and let it cool

    Make sugar syrup by combining the sugar, water, saffron and cardamom powder

    Once the dal comes to room temperature, add sugar syrup and cook till thick

    Serve hot garnished with chopped almonds
